Female Hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids affect people from all over the world, both women and men. They occur when there is swelling in the anal blood vessels. Hemorrhoids can be caused by numerous reasons, mainly strain, heavy lifting, constipation, diarrhea, and liver disease. Women tend to suffer from female hemorrhoids when they are pregnant. Many women have a bad case of hemorrhoids during their first pregnancy. This is mostly because the body has never been used to this large amount of stress. It has also been reported that many women develop female hemroids during the actual childbirth. There are a variety of womens hemorrhoid treatment that can reduce the pain and allow the hemorrhoids to heal and wither away.

The reason why women get female hemorrhoids is because there is an excessive amount of pressure on the veins produced by the uterus as it grows. The large amount of stress on the veins causes the blood flow to decrease and apply even more pressure on the anal canal and rectal area. This then can result in female hemroids.  When pregnant have bowel movements they might have to strain a lot more than usual to release stool. This can cause internal or external hemorrhoids to develop.

The condition of hemorrhoids is very painful and bothersome to most people. They come in different types such as internal, external, and bleeding hemorrhoids. Internal hemorrhoids are located in the anal canal and cannot be seen without a medical device such as an anascope. External hemorroids are usually located around the rim of the anus. External hemorrhoids can be more annoying than internal hemorrhoids as they can be irritated easily when wiping after a bowel movement, or when wearing tighter clothes. Bleeding can happen in both of these cases. A bleeding hemorrhoid needs to be looked at or talked about with a doctor. This is because bleeding hemorrhoids can be the cause of some other more serious conditions. It is best to rule out anything more serious by being up front with the doctor.

When women are experiencing female hemorrhoids they should try these techniques for pain relief and comfort:

  • A cold compress can take away a lot of the pain when it comes to this condition. You can add Witch Hazel onto the compress and apply it a few times a day for the condition of female hemroids.
  • Take some cotton balls and saturate them with Witch Hazel. Apply to the hemorrhoid area a few times a day for a week for results and pain relief.
  • A sitz bath can help when it comes to womens hemorroids treatment. Sit in a bath of warm water and allow your body to relax. The water will relieve the pain you might be experiencing.
  • Take an ice pack and hold it on the hemorrhoid area. An ice pack can numb the area and the pain for a period of time.
Use unscented wipes and toilet paper when female hemorrhoids are experienced. Scented paper and wipes can really irritate the hemorrhoids causing them to flare up.
